Yulara: Big red rock

May 30th, 2008

Us at UluruIt was a long drive from Marla to Yulara, the resort town that services Uluru (Ayer's Rock). We arrived with enough time to drive out to the big red rock and watch its changing colours as the sun drops down beyond the horizon.

We sat and enjoyed a glass of wine and a picnic dinner with the rock dominating our view. We couldn't ask for a more fabulous setting.

Staying at caravan parks we have already met many other nomads - mostly of the grey type. They are always very excitied to meet Olive, as many have left behind grandchildren of their own.
