Ellis Beach: Same Again

August 18th, 2008 : ellis-beach-same-again

Olive Collecting ShellsSame as yesterday! Rob finished the BAS statements and Clare went well on the way to finalising her work. Clare took Olive for an hour long walk along the beach, it was highly enjoyable and hard work at the end as they headed into the wind. We have not spent as much time on the beach as we would have liked. We've heard that the windy days here are due to the 'Trade Winds', which fortunately are usually gone by September. As we have stayed here an extra night and used up all of our supplies, we took the opportunity for someone else to cook, and we walked down to the only shop here for dinner. We have to go back down to Cairns tomorrow (only 20 minutes away) to sort out a few things, before we head further north and away from civilisation (away from a city anyway).
