Townsville: Garden Path

We started our garden tour with a visit to the Palmetum, a botanic garden of mostly palms, then to Queens Gardens, Townsville’s original botanic garden. Here we saw not only plants but some ducklings, galahs and chickens. We took Olive to the waterpark on The Strand. It is like a kids playground with water fountains, falls and spurts coming from the equipment. The major effect is the giant water bucket that slowly fills and dumps its contents just when you are not expecting it. Olive was a bit apprehensive, though Rob enjoyed himself.
