Epping, Melbourne: Billy the Train

A posse of Woods had a great day out on the Puffing Billy tourist steam train, that chugs through the Dandenong Ranges. We boarded the train and journeyed to a fabulous, albeit busy, picnic spot by a lake. On this train you can sit on the window ledge and hang your feet and legs out the window. It was a lovely summer day, unusual for Melbourne, and the kids and a couple of the adults went for a swim in the pool. Clare was lucky to join the troops today as she awoke this morning feeling well below average. Amazing what a few panadol can do for you.
