Day 11: Final day, across the north

This is our last day in Tasmania. We lazed about in the morning, only just making the checkout time of 10am. We strolled around the quaint Stanley town, though a few places were closed. We also drove around the surrounding countryside for some pretty views of the nut and seas around it.

We had all day to travel to Devonport to catch our ferry. We drove back along the coast, stopping to see a nice lighthouse and lookout, and fossil rocks, near Wynyard. At Burnie we did some cheese tasting and went searching for platypuses. We were very excited to see one swimming along the river as it is a rare sight to see one in the wild.

For our last meal in tasmania we opted for Asian noodles-in-a-box. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and we couldn't finish it all. What a simile for our trip. We had seen seen so many beautiful places on our trip around Tasmania, and had gorged our selves on the history and nature, and now we were going home feeling very full.

On the ferry we were not interested in exploring the decks. Instead we had an early night in our compact cabin, and woke early too, at 6.15am, back home in Melbourne
