This list is our own personal top ten Beaches we have seen in our travels around Australia, mostly from our 2008 around Australia trip.

1. Twilight Cove – Esperance

There were wonderful views of white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, with the highlight Twilight Cove, the 2006 Australia’s best beach winner, which we could not disagree with. We could not resist a swim in the refreshing crystal clear waters.

2. Greens Pool – Denmark, WA

Greens Pool is great for a dip in the tranquil waters of this sheltered cove.

3. Cable Beach, Broome, WA

Cable Beach in Broome. If you are in Broome anytime of the year, you will be wanting to go for a swim, but check for signs about stingers.

4. Stanwell Park, NSW

Only just south of Sydney suburbia you hit the coast at this sleepy little village.

5. Ellis Beach, QLD

Ellis Beach

If you are visiting Cairns and want to go to the beach, this is where you head, the highlight of the northern beaches.

6. Streaky Bay, SA

Streaky Bay

It is a long way to get to the Eyre Peninsula and Streaky Bay from Adelaide, but when you get there you may want to stay forever.

7. Cape Tribulation, QLD

8. City Beach, Perth, WA
