We drove to Tennant Creek to see our friends Anna and Ryan and their son, Cooper. We are staying in their pyramid house, and in these hot dusty surroundings, it feels like we are in Egypt.
Rob took the van in to get it checked out, only to discover that it requires specialist VW mechanics, which the closest is in Darwin over 1000 km away. We will be heading straight there from here, with plenty of water to top up the radiator tank as we need it.
Anna and Ryan own one of the pubs in Tennant Creek, so of course, Rob had to check it out and kept Ryan company while he worked behind the bar. It was great to catch up with friends, and hear stories of pub life in Tennant, as well as having another pit stop out of the van to get reorganised again.
