The first day of summer, let’s hope the weather improves from now (but not too hot!). We left Stanwell Park, and as we passed Wollongong, we changed our minds about where we were heading, and decided to skip Greenpatch and divert to Berry then stay the night at Kangaroo Valley. We had a picnic lunch at Berry and spent a lovely hour or so wandering in and out of their quality crafty shops and galleries. A little further along is a similar town of Kangaroo Valley. We passed through town and to a very good free camping ground next to a lake - we’ll return to explore the town later. At the large grassy field we found a quite place to set up camp, and at sunset were privileged to be visited by a wombat.
