Manly, Sydney: Xmas Time is Here

It is fabulous to be in a solid bed again, but too many late nights to enjoy it - as is often the way when we are visiting friends and family. We borrowed Jim’s old taxi car and went to the local ‘Mall’, their local shopping centre at Warringah. We spent most of the day buying Christmas presents that we need to send interstate - the rest can wait until we are in Melbourne. We knew we were back in a big city when we had to pay for parking at the shopping centre. In the afternoon we went with Jim and Ellen to the same club as last night, sitting on the decking overlooking the Manly ferry pier. The beers are cheap, but at the rate that Jim drinks we had quite a few before heading home for dinner.
