Cape Tribulation: Where rainforest meets the sea

After a lovely free pancake breakfast at the resort, we picked up our old fridge which has been somewhat repaired, and our old battery, with the expectation that we will need new ones of both before long. From Cairns we drove north to Mossman Gorge, which is in the southern part of the Daintree National Park. We had lunch here and went on a fantastic walk through the rainforest, sighting some very old and very large trees. Heading further along the coast, we crossed the Daintree River by car ferry, then up to Cape Tribulation along a wonderful narrow winding road through the rainforest and along the coast. We arrived in time to see the sun setting on the Cape Tribulation beach.
