We crossed the border into Queensland on the way to our next destination, Mt Isa. Just outside Camooweal we came across a waterhole which was bounding with Brolgas. They were smashing mussels on the muddy banks, an interesting site. The only other interesting thing in Camooweal was an historic store that looked like it hadn't changed in a hundred years, with the old shelving at the back with essential items. Most of the accommodation in Mt Isa was booked out as their rodeo is on next week, which we will unfortunately miss. We enjoyed lunch beside a man-made waterfall at the visitors centre, then visited an old 'Tent House' preserved in its original form - looking just like grandma's house! Back to our camp site by the river, we cooked up a BBQ.
