Palm Cove: The fridge is fixed - we think!

After a quick game of mini-golf (which Clare won), we headed off to pick up the fridge - all in working order. Our next destination was a beach north of Cairns (since there are none in Cairns city). On the way, the door of the fridge kept falling open! For us serviceman seem to always inadvertently stuff something else up, whilst repairing the initial problem. We briefly visited Yorky's Knob and Trinity Beach, which are some of the first beaches you come across when heading north. Palm Cove, one of the last on the strip, was recommended to us. We are staying at the council run caravan park, which is right across from the beach. Although this means it is cheap, it also means that the amenities are not up to scratch (but it was not as bad as at Mission Beach). This is a lovely touristy town set right on the beach front, although it was a very windy and not at all that pleasant for beach activities.
