Cairns: Mountain View

What a wonderful day we had today! We took a train ride up to a small mountain town, inland from Cairns called Kuranda. The trip took over an hour, with spectacular views from our window seat. The best being of Barron Falls, which was lacking a bit of it's usual water flow. Kuranda is a quaint little town with several markets, some rainforest walks and lots of restaurants and shopping. we caught the Skyrail back down the mountain. The Skyrail is basically a small capsule suspended above the trees by wires, so the views were even more spectacular. It stopped twice to let us off and have a look around the forest floor. It was a fabulous ride that even Olive loved.
