We hung around at Lisa’s house for the morning. Clare’s mum called, and they had a good catch up. We drove to Penneshaw, a town on the eastern end of the island for lunch, only to find the fancy fish restaurant we wanted to eat at was closed. We checked out a couple of galleries and had a home made lunch, before returning via Sunset winery, a glass and bead gallery, and 250 steps to the lookout on Prospect Hill. We headed back into Kingscote for a street party for the early evening, which is part of the weekend festivities for the race weekend. Olive had her face painted for the first time, a butterfly, and we had some local seafood, then home before the party really got going.
