We went for a walking expedition around town, firstly heading to the other side to visit the red and whit striped Obelisk. We got directed to go on a walking path, which was not suitable for a pram, but by the time we realized that it was too late to turn back. We ended up carrying both Olive and the pram over the sandy narrow path. Luckily it was not too far and the view was good. The Obelisk was an interesting variation of a lighthouse, and its days are limited as the limestone cliff is slowly rotting away from under it. Olive fell asleep as we walked back to town, so we made the most of some quiet time to have a coffee and read the paper. We checked out a lovely local art gallery, before enjoying fresh local fish and chips for lunch. Unfortunately the local rock lobster was not in our budget at $75 a kilo.
