Epping, Melbourne: New Years Eve

The cool (Summer?) days continued. We hear that it has been the coldest and wettest December for seven years, and it has felt like it too. We went out locally for a Thai meal to celebrate the New Year, leaving Olive back at home with her grandparents. Olive tried to stay up until midnight too, but fell about an hour short. Meanwhile we went from the restaurant to the only pub in Epping, which was dead quiet except for the pokies area. We had just one drink while bagging out everyone else for being there on NYE (ignoring the fact that we were there too!). We drove home in time to have a wine and watch the New Year fireworks on TV.
