Merry Christmas to everyone who still bothers to read our blog, even though we have not travelled much lately. We had Christmas lunch at home with Rob’s mum and dad. Leanne and Peter and their families came over to join us – making it a rare time with more than half of the family together. Present opening was a fun time with small kids around – because most of the presents were for them – thanks to Granny! Olive loved opening all her gifts and also loved trying to open everyone else’s too. The day ran smoothly, not too much behind schedule, the turkey did not burn and the veggies were done well. Weather-wise it was a perfect day, sunny but not too hot. Just before our meal, we had an hour long phone call to Alli in the states, everyone taking turns speaking to her and Reggie. Michael made a Skype call later in the day, so everyone caught up. The visitors left during the afternoon to their other family parties, while we stayed behind, cleaned up and ate leftovers.
