We left Trephina Gorge in the East MacDonnell Ranges and headed back towards Alice Springs. The road showed no sign of the deluge of rain in the preceding days. Along the way we stopped and had a look at Corroboree Rock which we had whizzed past on the way out. Back in Alice, we utilised phone reception to make a call and to send and receive a few emails, as well as restocking our fridge for the next few days out west. We set up camp at Ormiston Gorge, and had a quick walk into the gorge to have a sneaky peek. The gorge rock face is much bigger in size than in the eastern gorge. The birdlife around here is extensive much to Olive's delight, as she has taken a fascination with them.
