From our campsite town is only a few minutes walk away, where we ventured to the basic main street lined with a few old buildings. It is forecast for a very hot day so we explored in the morning to avoid the heat of the day. We checked out a shop selling locally mined jade, made into a myriad of jewelry pieces. The other local specialty is oysters, and we made our selection for a morning snack from raw oysters, oyster kebabs, oysters kilpatrick, oyster pies, smoked oysters etc. Absolutely delicious! The afternoon consisted of a cold outdoor bath for Olive, while Clare picked at her mountain of crabs that are busting out of the fridge. If you want crabs this is the place to be, everyone is catching more than they can eat. So it was crab omelettes for dinner.
