Flinders Ranges: Wilpena Campsite

Olive woke up sick this morning with a bad cough and blocked nose. She had been a little unwell for a couple of days but it had got progressively worse. We drove back to Broken Hill to take Olive to the doctor. Fortunately they were able to squeeze her in on short notice and give her some drugs to take. By 10.30am we were on our way to South Australia, only deciding on our final destination at the Peterborough turnoff. We made it a long day of driving and went all the way to Wilpena Pound in the Flinders Ranges. As Olive was recovering, she slept most of the way. It was worth the long day’s drive as the campsite is really nice and now we can set up camp and hang out here for a couple of days. As we arrived after dark, we spoiled ourselves and had a meal at the resort restaurant.
