We have decided to stay anther day here and relax (we haven’t been doing enough of that!). The tide was out in the morning and when we say out, we mean out. It would be a long hike through the mud flats out to the water’s edge. Only in the afternoon, when the tide was back in, could we all go for a swim (and wash). As we were in quite an isolated campsite, and the day was warm, we decided to use the external shower at the back of our campervan for the first time ever. It worked a treat. There are supposed to be kangaroos coming down to the beach at dusk, but there are none to be seen. We think that may happen at the other part of Cape Hillsborough National Park, where the public picnic area is. Pity, as that was something we were looking forward to.
