Day 3: Saturday, 30th June
Eggs for breakfast again, a staple breakfast for tourists in many parts of Asia.
This is the kitchen in our villa. A gas cooker. Toaster and griller with dodgy wiring. Plenty of fresh water supplied for free.
We stopped for a coffee, but the ice coffee was not as expected - cold black coffee!
Tutmak café was recommended to us for their special pancakes. The kids loved the banana pancakes with maple syrup.
Rob couldn’t help but order the chicken schnitzel, which came burger style, and was very good.
The Thai Beef salad included quite rare thinly sliced beef strips, with glass noodles, lettuce, and bean sprouts. The dressing was a lovely balance of sweet spicy and salty. A side serve of guacamole was initially to feed 9 month old Casper, but was very spicy and finished off our meals nicely.
Our evening meal cooked by Ketut ...
Home cooked Nasi Goreng - a simple fried rice with chicken and peas ...
plus a lightly sweet pickled cucumber side dish, and fried floured chicken.
Food hygiene? We try and wash our hands before eating each meal.
