Day 2: Friday, 29th June

Home cooked Breakfast; every morning we get the option of a home cooked breakfast including fresh fruit, papaya, pineapple, mango, snake fruit, and star fruit, eggs, either scrambled or fried with toast, and peanut butter or pineapple jam (or both as we have done a few times!). We have supplemented this with some Weetbix and milk for Casper and Jetson, and occasionally yoghurt.

Café Wayan and Bakery has an enormous garden out the back. The staff were really friendly and the food was delicious!

We ordered the curry of the day – an eggplant and pumpkin red curry sauce with interesting steamed red rice.

Rob’s curry (style??) was chicken with the same rice, but not quite as tasty as the special.

The kids ate a Hawaiian pizza, which had a nice base and was very cheesey…!

The Chillout Lounge is a place just down the street where we are staying.

We ordered some nachos – with all condiments separate - tomato, avocado, meat sauce and a funny tasting sour cream.

Martabak; which was a fried roti (Indian influenced) filled with a spicy meat sauce. This dish was very tasty but very oily.

The roti canai was less than average coming as a rolled roti, pan fried served with a very bland curry sauce.

Clare also ordered a special dessert

The setting was great though. we tried another Bali beer, Bali Hai.
