Day 2: Sunday, 11th May

In our hotel, Lofi Inn, there is a common room with kitchen and dining areas, where we ate our breakfast of bananas and yogurt.

We decided to do some more exploring of Little India. After getting hassled by a salesman (we felt like we were back in India for a minute) we bought some souvenirs from someone else, then discovered the Tekka Centre where we had a second breakfast of egg prata (an Indian stuffed flat bread) with a chai masala tea, coffee and a 'Dinosaur Milo' a special chocolate milk dink with a lychee in it. This place is heaven for a Indian food lover.

Mother's Day in Singapore

After being disappointed by a temple that was covered up for renovations, we found a great little shady playground in the middle of an apartment building. We need to find some more of these. At midday we ventured to Christine Aston's for lunch and a swim. It was lovely to see her and the family, and relax in their amazing pool. We stayed for the afternoon before heading back towards home and stopping at the tackiest Indian 'Jungle Tandoori' restaurant. It was amazingly animated with life size decorations of jungle animals, which the kids loved. The food was surprsingly very good. Oh and it was a great mother's day!
