Coffin Bay: Coff ‘n’ Putt Challenge

March 4th, 2009

Sticker HeadWe are staying here another day, even though it is still windy and forecast for showers, as it will be the same at the next spot up the coast. Our load of washing will appreciate the wind, but I don’t think it will like any rain! Clare took Olive for a play at the local park, and sighted lots of school children doing aquatic activities, while Rob did some work back in the van. After Olives midday sleep, we delighted in a rare game of putt-putt at a very challenging 18 hole course next door. It was a draw. No? A recount put Clare in front by one stroke. That makes it twice in a row that Clare has won a family mini-golf challenge, Wait till Olive starts getting competitive. We walked down to the Yacht Club for dinner on fish and chip night. It had great views being right on the bay, also a decent inexpensive meal, and a basket of toys to keep Olive occupied. A winner all round! We discovered kangaroos in the campground on our return, and finally the noisy birds had quietened down.
