2008 Christmas Letter

Family Photo Christmas time

Rob, Clare and Olive would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas. We hope Santa is good to you this year, and brings lots of festive cheer!

It has been a big year for us, being on the road travelling around Australia for much of it. Since our last email from Darwin, we have travelled from the NT across to the east coast, going north as far as Cooktown, then heading south mainly along the coast back to Melbourne. We have been travelling for more than 7 months and have covered over 21,000 km. Some of our favourite places of the last few months have included; the Daintree area, Atherton Tablelands, Port Douglas, Airlie Beach, Eungella, Byron Bay, Dorrigo, Bellingen, Bright and Mt Beauty.

We have all had a ball living the nomadic life, though we are glad to be back in Melbourne for a while, staying around for the festive season. We are really appreciating living in a house, and loving the little things that we miss while travelling. We hope to continue our journey of Australia in January some time … so stay tuned.

With Love,
the Travelling Woods
