This list is our own personal top-ten Australian cities we have seen in our travels around Australia, mostly from our 2008 around Australia trip.
1. Darwin, NT
Being in the tropics Darwin is not like any other city in Australia.
2. Melbourne, VIC
Despite the weather, Melbourne is a great place ot visit – it has history, charm, culture, and sport (and more sport). We like sport, so Melbourne was easy to like too.
3. Perth, WA
The best city in Australia, except it is so far away (in time and place). If it ever extends it shopping hours and put back daylight savings, it would be hard to stay away.

6. Adelaide, SA
7. Bendigo, VIC
8. Sydney, NSW
9. Hobart, TAS
10. Port Macquarie
